Officers were called to the Mill Creek Apartments on East Lincoln Highway on a report of an armed man dressed in all black around 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, Penndel Borough police said in a Sunday, Oct. 16 release.

Apparently, there was an altercation, during which the suspect showed a gun to the person who called 9-1-1, authorities said.

"While speaking with that subject, officers could see a bulge in the pouch of the hoodie that the subject was wearing," police said.

As officers were speaking with the man, he refused to obey their orders and resisted officers who tried to place him in handcuffs, they said.

Once they had him in handcuffs, he was identified as 21-year-old Brian Lockhart, poice said.

Officers claim they did not find a gun on him, but they did recover a "large amount of suspected marijuana."

Lockhart was charged with possession with intent to distribute, and related offenses, authorities said.

He was released from custody after posting $100,000 bond, court records show. His preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 19.
